Teachers Needed For Spring Semester

Things are looking good for the spring!

I need teachers and ideas for

1 5-6yo class

1 7-8yo class.

Some thoughts are literature, phonics, science, history. I already have an art class for the 7-8yos and a continuation of the music/movement class for the 5-6yos.

The 5-6yo class is a young group. Many moved up from the preschool last year. So, this is a group of beginning readers. The class should not rely on copy work, reading or writing beyond the student spelling his/her name, possibly copying words such as the days of the week, etc.

The 7-8yo class is an older group, although there are several beginning/level 1readers in this group. They can cut independently, follow directions, copy from the board, write simple sentences.

Anyone interested in teaching one of these age groups? I’m asking for volunteers, now….

We are into week 4 of classes!

Here are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Nursery/Toddler/Preschoolers should stay downstairs unless they are participating in choir.
  • Parents should pick up their little ones from the nursery/toddler area.
  • Children who are 6&under and are not participating in choir will go to the toddler/preschool room during choir time. A parent will escort the children downstairs.
  • The only parents who should stay in the choir room during choir are the parents assigned to stay in the choir room.
  • Keep food to the choir room. (German class will be there this week:))
